Development of a complete train unit for the maintenance of the public rail network

Our developments are worth gold! This is proven, among other things, by the three gold medals won by German athlete Wojtek Czyz at the 2004 Paralympics in Athens. He was supported by adapters for his sprint and long jump prostheses optimised by ISATEC.

The first PowerPack designed by ISATEC was completed and presented at InnoTrans 2002 in September after only seven months of development and construction


Innovation Prize of the plastics industry alongside companies Impella and Unnapur


The number of employees had been increasing so steadily that new office space became necessary. Therefore, moving to the historic soap factory was a done deal. Just two years later, we expanded our premises to three floors with over 1,000 sqm of floor space.


In summer, after only two and a half years of development and successful safety certification for NASA, the design developed by ISATEC flew successfully during a 10-day shuttle flight (STS91).


A decisive year for ISATEC GmbH: introducing a renowned 3-D CAD system. What had previously been done through pure calculation could finally be engineered and visualised. A new dimension for our service range!

1995 / 1996

The winter of 1995 – we participated in a CERN space project. The project’s aim was to combine mechanics and electronics for detectors in a satellite.

Organisation and transparency

The design process is organised using PDM systems. As a rule, we are integrated via customers’ own PDM systems. From the management of internal and external data, component designations (by customers) and integrated processing and release mode to the creation of parts lists and the visualisation of technical documentation – the PDM system maps the entire project sphere. With this plus in transparency, all project stakeholders are involved in the work flow at all times. This also ensures maximum safety and facilitates revision.
