As part of the NRW Summer Internship Weeks (organized by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Protection, and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia), four teenagers completed a short-term internship with us. They had signed up through the online platform for voluntary short-term internships and used the time to learn about our various career fields.
They were given the task of using a script to design and assemble the individual parts for a skateboard with the help of CAD software. The teens quickly realized that while it looked easy at first, it actually required a few tricky details.
Conclusion from the work experience: a great deal of experience is necessary to successfully carry out designs, simulations, and analyses.
ISATEC supports this summer internship week so that young people aged 15 and older can gain practical, hands-on, and real-world experience with the career fields we offer during their summer break.
In addition to internship positions, we also offer supervision for bachelor’s and master’s theses. Students can apply for practical projects during their studies.
