Stranding rotor

In cable production, a rotor cage is used to hold the individual copper coils which are twisted together to form a cable.

The load of the rotor, which is supported on both sides by the high copper weight, is caused by centrifugal force on the one hand and by circular bending on the other. ISATEC optimises various rotor bodies with regard to the stiffness of rotor cross-sections and their strength. Such rotors run without damage in several machines with more than 300 million load cycles each.
